A lamppost was left skewed yesterday after a truck and trailer unit hit the pole and did not stop.
The vehicle rounded the corner of Forbury and Macandrew Rds and hit the pole, which was left on a lean dangerously close to powerlines.
A police spokesman said the driver had been spoken to and police would determine in the coming days whether any charges would be laid.
Just after the crash, Constable Matt Nicolson said it was likely the driver hit the pole with the trailer and did not realise he had hit it.
The pole was left at about a 45deg angle and some concrete was disturbed.
Power was not affected but Delta contractors were called in to lift the lines.
