Hui-a-iwi under way in Dunedin

Hui-a-iwi 2015 got under way in Dunedin today with a rousing haka powhiri welcoming Ngai Tahu whanau and community members from around the country.

The three-day event at the Dunedin Town Hall will feature stage performances, art and culture events and a street market on Harrop St.

About 2500 people are expected to attend the event over the weekend.

 

A Ngai Tahu spokesman encouraged the Dunedin public to come and support the it.
