Motorcyclists were given free safety checks of their bikes, and encouraged to brush-up on their riding skills by registering for a motorcycle training course with Ride Right Otago.
Mr Searls said if more motorcyclists took part in the refresher courses, there would be fewer motorcycling accidents.
