Visiting restrictions at a Dunedin Hospital ward have been lifted after an outbreak of illness was confirmed not to be norovirus.
Southern District Health Board nursing executive director Leanne Samuel said visitors to ward 6B, for older persons' health, were restricted on Friday after a couple of patients developed vomiting and diarrhoea.
Infection controls were put in place.
The ward was reopened yesterday.
