Emmerson Morgan and Ben Davidson gave three ''CuddleCots'' in the memory of their daughter Adisyn-Hope Davidson, who was stillborn in July 2014 when her mother was six months' pregnant.
A CuddleCot is a cooling system which is placed into a Moses basket and allows parents to have extra days with their dead babies.
The couple began fundraising for the cots after the death of their daughter.
Miss Morgan said the fundraising project helped her ''escape from my grief'' and provided ''hope and purpose'' for the past 18 months.
''It's been a bit of a lifeline for me.''
The ceremony at the centre yesterday was ''huge'' because it provided some ''closure'', Miss Morgan said.
About $18,000 was raised to buy the three cots and spare parts.
She hoped one of the cots would be able to be used by families in their home ''until they say their final goodbye''.
On average, a baby died at the centre each week, Miss Morgan said.
Nurses stopped the couple in the hallway to thank them for the cots.
SDHB director of midwifery Jenny Humphries thanked everyone who had given money to buy the cots.
The ''wonderful items'' allowed families to extend the ''precious time'' with a baby.
''They only have a very short time with their child and it's heart-wrenching but the use of the CuddleCots will extend that time.''
