Mosgiel is to get a new supermarket after Progressive Enterprises was today granted a consent to build a new store on Gordon Rd.
The consent was ''in part'' - Progressive's plans to have retail spaces for a cafes or pharmacy on the site were denied.
The proposed 3300m2 Countdown store will include 174 car parks and substantial landscaping along its road frontages.
Mosiel's existing Countdown will close before the new store opens.
