Pool supervisor Heath Ellis was hoping for fine weather for the first weekend of the pool's open season which starts at 7am today.
Staff had ensured the pool was ready for loyal users and family outings, with a water temperature of 28degC sure to please.
The regular opening hours are 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and 7am to 7pm Saturday and Sunday.
The season runs until March 31.
