The fire service was called to South Dunedin tonight after a small fire broke out in a local cafe.
Shift manager Brent Dunn said the fire was reported by someone who saw smoke coming out of the Forget Me Not coffee bar on King Edward St, which was closed.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a small fire in the cafe kitchen, and were "getting rid of the fire", Mr Dunn said.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
