In what could be case of a Mother's day brunch attempt gone awry, firefighters responded to reports of a stove-top fire in Maori Hill this morning.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Andrew Norris said the fire had already been extinguished when a crew from the Roslyn station arrived at the Drivers Rd home.
The crew helped ventilate a significant amount of smoke from the kitchen before departing, he said.
