Otago Federated Farmers provincial president Mike Lord said about 100 people visited the working farm, the majority in families.
"It's been a success," he said.
Dog trials and sheep drafting, along with a chance to get up close and personal with puppies and Highland cattle, allowed for an interactive experience.
No question was off limits either and people took the opportunity to expand their knowledge of farming in a relaxed setting, Mr Lord said.
Amanda Taylor, of Dunedin, enjoyed showing her three sons around a farm, having recently introduced them to livestock by buying a pet goat.
"They loved all of it," she said.
