Binge Culture co-creator Ralph Upton listens to his Dunedin Fringe Festival work Enter the New World at New World Centre City.

The Dunedin Fringe Festival performance turns a supermarket shop to an audio adventure, Upton said.

The 35-minute audio story was available to accompany people on their weekly supermarket shop.

The story was a first person adventure of a supermarket and was inspired by Walt Disney's Pocahontas.

"It's the adventure of a brave supermarket consumer, where you are the protagonist.''

The podcast worked best at supermarkets with fresh fruit and vegetables section at the entrance, he said.

The podcast is available to download for people to use on their personal devices at www.dunedinfringe.nz until next Sunday.
