Police have confirmed one person has died following a one vehicle crash near Waihola this afternoon.
The crash on Henley Road, near Taieri Ferry Road, was reported around 1:45pm.
Emergency services including a helicopter responded to the scene.
The road remains blocked and enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, a police spokesman said.
