An elderly man sustained moderate injuries after being hit by a car in Macandrew Rd in South Dunedin late this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said the man was taken to Dunedin Hospital after the accident, which occurred between Cutten and Glasgow Sts about 4.50pm,
Police had spoken to the driver and inquiries were continuing, the spokeswoman said.
Commenters on social media said the man was hit on a pedestrian crossing.
