An elderly woman with two children in her car has minor injuries after crashing into a garage door in Mosgiel this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said the 85-year-old was thought to have had a medical event.
The car ran over a letterbox as it came out of a driveway on Mcfadden Dr about 3.30pm, then went up another driveway at speed on the opposite side of the street before crashing into the garage door.
St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the woman was treated by ambulance officers at the scene for minor injuries but was not taken to hospital.
The two young boys in the car were shaken but not hurt.
''We'll need some new wheels,'' one said.
