Dunedin Venues Management Ltd (DVML) has teamed up with John Deere, in an arrangement with ramifications for the Forsyth Barr Stadium pitch.
DVML announced the deal this week.
Under the agreement, Drummond and Etheridge (Golf and Turf) would provide a range of John Deere turf-management equipment to DVML, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers and top dressers.
DVML chief executive David Davies was not specific about what his company would provide its partner in the deal, but he said the contract was "a sweetheart deal", where John Deere would get "the kudos of being involved with the stadium".
John Deere had "a network of experts", and carried out research that could be called upon to help with any issues with the turf.
DVML board chairman Sir John Hansen said the deal was "a huge endorsement" of the stadium.
