Firefighters rescued an intoxicated man dangling upside-down in a tree in central Dunedin on Saturday.
A Fire Service spokesman said firefighters from Dunedin Station were called to Bishops Rd at 10.26pm after reports a young intoxicated man was caught in a tree and hanging upside-down.
Firefighters rescued him.
It was unclear whether the man fell down a steep bank and was caught in the tree or fell when climbing the tree.
The 20-year-old man was taken away by police, a St John spokesman said.
