Emergency services attend the scene of a crash on State Highway 88, after a car collided with a Downer truck and trailer unit pulling out of the infrastructure company's Ravensbourne yard yesterday.
The female driver of the car was ''a bit lucky'', given the vehicle went between the truck and trailer, Sergeant Nathan White said.
She was taken to Dunedin Hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed briefly and one lane later reopened to clear the backlog of traffic, Sgt White said.
