Police are searching for a woman who crashed a ute into a power pole in Concord this morning before driving from the scene.
Sergeant Keith Braithwaite, of Dunedin, said a witness saw the blue Nissan ute collide with the pole on Mulford St about 7.40am, but did not see the number plate.
The driver was described as a woman in her 40s, of solid build, he said.
Police were appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the crash or had information about the driver to come forward.
Aurora spokeswoman Karen Melville said the concrete power pole was being repaired. A Mulford St home lost power after the crash, she said.
