Many offered promotions, discounts, drinks and nibbles.
About 150 people queued outside Glassons before its 6pm opening, eager to get a 20% store-wide discount.
National marketing manager Claire Murray was pleased to have the store involved in the event's third year.
To make the night extra special, the store created a "House of G" theme.
Staff were dressed as "dolls" with flamboyant blonde wigs, while butlers served shoppers drinks.
A DJ provided music, makeovers were available courtesy of Smashbox and models acted as mannequins.
Another popular store was Max, which offered 25% off store-wide and provided goodie bags for the first 70 people through the door.
Those who visited Shop on Carroll had the opportunity to buy clothes from the Back to the Future Fashion Show, held on Tuesday night, while Dada entertained invited guests with a fashion show at Temple Gallery.
