Deadline looms for preferential tickets

Otago Daily Times subscribers have just two days left to apply for preferential tickets to the "Big Night In".

Subscribers will be allowed a maximum of six tickets each for the November 12 community concert.

The ballot will be drawn on Thursday and general public tickets will be available from next Tuesday, November 1.

Successful subscriber applicants will receive their tickets in the post by Monday, October 31.

The concert features a host of national artists, including Tina Cross, Jackie Clarke, Ainslie Allen and Chris Fennessy, with the cream of Otago talent.

Gates will open at 3pm, with the pre-show from 4.30pm and the main show starting at 7pm.

The "Big Night In" celebrates the 150th anniversary of the ODT and is the Dunedin City Council's opening community concert in the Forsyth Barr Stadium.

General public tickets will be available from next Tuesday at the stadium and ODT offices in Mosgiel, Alexandra, Balclutha, Oamaru, Queenstown, Wanaka, Timaru (The Courier) and Gore (The Ensign).

Tickets are limited and will be issued on a first-in, first-served basis.
