Mr Drew, the infrastructure and development general manager, attended his last infrastructure services committee meeting yesterday and councillors acknowledged the intellectual rigour and experience he brought from private enterprise.
Mr Drew is leaving next month to take up a national position with Fulton Hogan.
Mr Logie, the chief financial officer, is also due to leave next month, after he resigned for health reasons.
Councillors at yesterday’s finance and CCOs committee meeting thanked Mr Logie for his patience and effort to explain what could sometimes be complicated material.
Committee chairman Cr Lee Vandervis thanked Mr Logie for producing "sets of books that made sense", and said the chief executive was able to have full confidence in him.
Cr Mandy Mayhem said she observed strength of character.
Dunedin Mayor Jules Radich said Mr Logie explained the "whys and wherefores" and it was unusual to come across a financial accountant who was also a motorcyclist.
Infrastructure services committee chairman Cr Jim O’Malley said Mr Drew’s professionalism had led to significant changes for the council.
Deputy mayor Sophie Barker said Mr Drew had brought transformational change, and Cr Andrew Whiley said he provided clarity about what needed to be done.
Cr Carmen Houlahan noted Mr Drew’s industry experience and easy-going nature and said she expected to see his surfing improve.
