The Dunedin City Council has confirmed the replacement for former Dunedin City Holdings Ltd chairman Graham Crombie, who died earlier this month.
Keith Cooper was this morning named as the new chairman of both DCHL and Dunedin City Treasury Ltd (DCTL).
Mr Cooper was a former chief executive of Silver Fern Farms and an experienced company director.
He has been a director of both DCHL and DCTL since 2015, and is also currently managing director of Miller Creative Group and Otago Rugby Football Union chairman.
Mr Cooper said in a statement he was "honoured'' to be appointed to the roles and to continue the work started by Mr Crombie.
Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull also welcomed the appointment, saying Mr Cooper was a "very experienced and capable director, with a strong strategic focus''.
DCHL is the parent company for the council-owned companies, and DCTL provides funding and financial services to the group.
