Dunedin dad Brendon Dey lines up the bullseye during a Father’s Day have-a-go event held by the Dunedin Archery Club at Chingford Park yesterday.

Mr Dey said it was his first serious attempt at archery and it was harder than it looked. Daughter Cailyn said it was her idea for them to take part as she had done archery before, and Mr Dey was doing "OK" at the sport. Club treasurer Julie Butler said the event was an opportunity for people to channel their inner Robin Hood or Katniss Everdeen. Club patron Pam Gordon said the event was a regular fundraiser for the club held each Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
