It might be a wee bit busy in Dunedin today.
Christmas shoppers may require zen-like patience as thousands of visitors are expected to squeeze into the city centre.
As well as the usual Christmas shopping rush, three cruise ships will dock in Port Chalmers today.
First to berth will be Ovation of the Seas at 7am, followed by Golden Princess at 7.30am. Combined, they can carry nearly 8000 passengers and crew.
The much smaller Caledonian Sky, with capacity for just under 200, will arrive in port at 7.45am.
Joining the cruise visitors will be about 700 University of Otago graduands and their families, in town for two graduation ceremonies this afternoon.
