Two people have been referred to Youth Aid after trying to steal $600 worth of perfume and other items from a Dunedin pharmacy.
A police spokesman said it appeared the duo had finished school early yesterday and went into town.
They were seen putting the items into bags by a security officer, who called police about 4pm.
The goods were recovered and the pair referred to Youth Aid.
