Dunedin police want to speak to a man who was allegedly filming children near Kettle Park this week.
Inspector Kelvin Lloyd said police sent patrols to the area after reports of a "suspicious" male on Monday afternoon.
An informant had the impression he was filming young children, Insp Lloyd said.
Police were interested in talking to a Caucasian male, aged 20 to 30, with a brown goatee, wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers top, jeans and a grey shirt, in relation to the incident.
"We'd just like to have a discussion around what they were up to."
Police received increasing callouts like this as weather got warmer, particularly in that area, he said.
"It's really good that we got a call about it straight away at the time."
