Two people were arrested after a gun was pulled during a road rage incident in Dunedin on Saturday.
A 29-year-old male and a 34-year-old female were pulled over and arrested on State Highway88 at 12.55pm.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said the arrests followed a road rage incident in Port Chalmers, where the man was alleged to have pulled either a .22-calibre rifle or a shotgun on the driver of another vehicle.
The man has been charged with presenting a firearm, carrying a firearm, possessing an offensive weapon, possessing a knife in a public place as well as driving while suspended and possessing cannabis.
The woman has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon.
The driver of the other vehicle was shaken but otherwise fine, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
The pair were due to appear in court on December 5.
