A Dunedin man was arrested after assaulting a security guard when he was kicked out of a bar, police say.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said officers were called to the Octagon about 11.50pm on Saturday.
A 64-year-old man had been removed from the bar for poor behaviour.
He was restrained by security staff until police arrived.
The man would appear in court on an assault charge.
