The deaths of an elderly Dunedin couple are not believed to be suspicious and police are not seeking anyone in relation to them.
Police yesterday said the investigation into the deaths of the couple, both aged in their 80s, was continuing but they did not believe the matter was suspicious.
The couple were found on Sunday morning by their son in the Brockville Rd home they had shared for more than 40 years.
Detective Senior Sergeant Kallum Croudis said postmortems were likely to be completed today.
A decision on whether the couple's name would be released would not be made until the postmortems were complete.
A police guard was maintained at the house throughout Sunday and during the night, but left yesterday.
The family have asked for privacy.
The couple, originally from Scotland, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November 2012 after marrying at Yarrow Kirk in Selkirk, Scotland, in 1952.
The deaths have been referred to the coroner.
