Charity house ready for auction

This house built for charity has benefited the builders and will benefit three charitable organisations when it goes up for auction on Saturday.

The Rotary Club of Mosgiel built the three-bedroom transportable house in Mosgiel over seven months and boosted club morale, member Peter Stechman said.

Proceeds from the sale will go to CanTeen, the Life Education Trust and the Otago Community Hospice.

Interest in the house was high, although Mr Stechman was unsure what it would fetch at auction.

The house has insulation, double glazing and a heat pump, is fully carpeted and a kitchen and bathroom have been installed. It is open for viewing tomorrow from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Saturday's auction is at 11am, on site at 75 Doon St, Mosgiel.
