Cause of fire remains unknown

Firefighters from St Kilda and City stations at a small ceiling fire at Piano Specialists in King Edward St yesterday morning.

The cause of the fire, about 9.45am, is unknown, as yet.

City Station Officer Stephen Clarke said no-one was inside the building at the time and no-one was injured.

Fire crews were alerted by neighbouring business owner Peter Buchan, who owns Framing Factory.

Mr Buchan said the owner of Piano Specialists was out of town at the time of the fire and the roof had recently been repaired after it leaked.
