Caught after caught short

A Mosgiel man’s full bladder was his downfall when he was caught by police after urinating at a petrol station.

Acting Senior Sergeant Simon Reay said a member of the public reported a 37-year-old man to police at 7.50pm on Wednesday.

The man had been kicked out of a Mosgiel pub for being "too intoxicated". He left and drove away in a silver BMW.

"Police observed the vehicle at [Mobil Mosgiel], Factory Rd, and a male matching the driver description urinating on the forecourt fence."

Police then stopped the man and asked him to undertake a breath-test, which he refused.

He then allegedly refused to provide a blood specimen and had his license suspended.
