Three men are in custody after several vehicles were damaged on Harbour Tce early this morning, police say. A fourth man had been bailed.
Station Sergeant Janelle Timmins, of Dunedin, said the men were facing charges including intentional damage but as it was early in the investigation, other charges could follow.
A vehicle entered in the Forsyth Barr Stadium car park in the same time period was probably linked, she said. Nothing was stolen from that vehicle.
Sgt Timmins said the men arrested were not students.
Police were watching the Corstorphine area closely and people were being warned to be vigilant as criminal activity rises.
Sgt Timmins said a Mulford St property was entered in the early hours of yesterday and a car damaged.
Medical supplies were taken from a Waimea Ave address and a cell phone, wallet and $50 was stolen from a residence on South Rd between 11pm Saturday and 9am yesterday.
"There's a bit of a spike in the Corstorphine area, which we're a bit concerned about," Sgt Timmins said.
