Otago professor appointed to Covid group

University of Otago Centre for International Health co-director Phillip Hill has been appointed to a government Covid-19 strategy group.

Prof Hill was among the full membership of the Covid-19 surveillance and testing strategy group announced yesterday, with its terms of reference, by Health Minister Chris Hipkins.

The group, set up for four weeks, is co-chaired by Sir Brian Roche and Heather Simpson, has been set up to provide further advice to the Government and oversee its surveillance and testing plans for dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
