George Morris hopes his colourful clothing will help him beat the post-holiday blues.
"Instead, I ended up with three — a pineapple, a watermelon and a pink flamingo.
The teacher has returned from his sister’s 60th birthday in Perth, where he noticed his brother was wearing a watermelon suit.
"It certainly caught the eye.
"I thought it was fun, so I decided I would buy one for myself.

"I just hope it would make people smile. It’s something to beat the post-holiday blues."
He works at the University of Otago’s pathways department as a physics, chemistry and mathematics teacher.
He intends to wear the outfits frequently and said he had received "positive" responses from people about them.
