Firefighter have extinguished a couch fire on an infamous party street in Dunedin’s student quarter.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said a crew from Willowbank station attended reports of a burning couch on Leith St about 9.45pm yesterday.
When they arrived, they discovered the blazing furniture in the street near some parked cars.
The fire was coded as suspicious and the scene was left in the hands of Campus Watch, the spokesman said.
