Police respond to a bus which got stuck in Central Dunedin yesterday.
A witness said that mechanics were called to help free the bus, which appeared to be full of tourists.
A police spokesman said reports were received of a bus blocking traffic at the intersection of Filleul and Cargill Sts about 1.30pm. The bus ran around and the council was notified of damage to the road after it was towed, the spokesman said.
Onlookers said they could recall several other similar incidents, also due to the gradient of the street.
