Boat shed renovator making headway

Dunedin builder Luke Millington continues work yesterday on a family boat shed in Portobello Rd, between Glenfalloch and Macandrew Bay.

Mr Millington said he had begun working on the boat shed part-time about two months ago. It had already been re-roofed and after extensive internal work, it was hoped the 42sq m structure would be enclosed within a fortnight.

‘‘I’m happy with how it’s going,’’ he said yesterday. Good progress was being made and he hoped to complete the overall project by April.

The shed had been bought by his family about two years ago and might have been built about mid-last century, he said.
