Two men have been taken into custody after armed police were called to a street fight in Dunedin this afternoon.
The men were taken into custody on Princes St and an injured man was treated at the scene.
Earlier, the Dunedin Armed Offenders Squad was called out to an address in lower Mornington following reports of four to five people fighting with golf clubs in the street.
Unconfirmed reports said a firearm had been brandished but police said they now believe a firearm was not involved
Police cordoned off an area around Neidpath Road and Cochrane Street.
The cordon has now been lifted.
The AOS was called out as a precaution, a police spokesman said.
