About 60 models are being chosen for this year's iD Dunedin Fashion Week.
The first casting call in Dunedin on Sunday attracted about 35 men and women already signed to Ali McD Agency.
Co-director Darryl McNamara said another 50 or so models were expected to attend the second and final casting this weekend.
This year, the agency had an exclusive contract to supply models for the 15th anniversary iD Dunedin Fashion Show, and 10th anniversary iD International Emerging Designer Awards.
Models will also be used for associated iD events.
They will be joined on the catwalk by 10 Chinese models from the Shanghai University of Engineering Science, who were invited to be a part of iD 2014 through a partnership with Otago Polytechnic.
Mr McNamara said there was a lot of ''fresh talent'' among the models vying for iD selection this year.
Last year's search to find the fresh new face of iD generated new signings for the agency, including the winner of the competition, Gore teenager Krue Love.
Some models had already been confirmed for iD, having previously modelled for the event, Mr McNamara said.rosie.manins@odt.co.nz
