New Zealand rhythm and blues singer Aaradhna will be the guest artist for the Paul Simon concert at Forsyth Barr Stadium on April 6.
The 29-year-old Aucklander will join two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Simon and United States singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright on the bill.
''I'm really looking forward to it,'' she said from her Porirua home yesterday.
''I've heard a lot of Simon and Garfunkel. Paul Simon is one of the best songwriters in the world.
''It's going to be a privilege to open up for him.''
Aaradhna Jayantilal Patel made her recording debut on Adeaze's 2004 single Getting Stronger, which peaked at No 1 on the New Zealand singles chart.
Aaradhna released her third album, Treble & Reverb, in November, leading to a multi-album deal with United States label Republic Records, which represented the late Amy Winehouse.
