"We are waiting on a part to arrive from out of town," a Dunedin City Council spokesman said yesterday.
"Work to refit the parts should be complete and the clock back up and running by the end of the week."
The clock was built in 1880.
Due to its age, the clock would need occasional ongoing maintenance, the spokesman said.
