25 years of stunning shots

Tūhura Otago Museum exhibitions and creative services officer Shanaya Cunningham with some of the winning images in the museum’s Wildlife Photography Competition over the past 25 years.

An exhibition will open today, featuring every overall winner from the past 25 years, to mark the competition’s 25th anniversary.

Museum marketing manager Charlie Buchan said it was a fitting tribute to the incredible work of Otago’s talented photographers.

After running for 25 years, the competition is a much-loved Otago tradition and one that continues to evolve.

Submissions for the 2024 competition close on May 27, and the winning images will be added to the display from July 6.
