‘In the zone’

Otago Art Society artist Janet Hullund, of Company Bay, paints a caricature of fans watching "sex bomb" Tom Jones, at the society’s demonstration day at the Dunedin Railway Station yesterday.

Ms Hullund said it was a "fun atmosphere" and other members of the society painted while tourists visited.

"You get carried away in the zone and you don’t notice someone is behind you". 

She said she developed her style "naturally" after originally starting with water colours.

"The more you do, the more colourful they get ... they make me laugh."

The painting of Tom Jones would hang in her living room.
