Where are they now?

EMMA PARKER

2013: A talented netballer, Parker had played in the New Zealand area schools netball team since 2011.

She planned to become a primary or early childhood teacher.

 

2023: Parker has a bachelor of teaching degree and is an early childhood teacher at Green Street Learning Centre in Dunedin.

She stopping playing netball due to ongoing injuries but took up coaching and became president of Physed Netball Club.

 

MEGHAN SCANLAN

2013: Scanlan attended the Otago University Advanced School Sciences Academy and had been a member of the New Zealand area schools netball team since 2011.

She wanted to become a GP.

2023: An anaesthetic registrar at Dunedin Public Hospital, Scanlan is a trainee of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

She has bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees and will complete her training in Christchurch.

Her study and work have not given her the time to be involved with netball, but she enjoys trail running.
