The University of Otago says this year's Re-Orientation week had "far fewer" problems with student disorder than in past years.
Director of student services David Richardson said 51 students were seen by the proctor's office for incidents last week, most of which were minor.
"Re-Orientation this year saw far fewer problems than in the past," he said.
Otago University Students' Association president Logan Edgar said the week went well, with the comedy night at Forsyth Barr Stadium and the international food festival proving particularly popular.
"Students were well behaved at all of our events, with only one rooster making a precautionary trip to the hospital due to a possible concussion," Mr Edgar said.
