Scary ghosts, controversial topics and old favourites will offer something for everyone in this year's Capping Show.

Tickets to the Otago University Students Association annual event, which opens tonight, had been selling "really, really well", events manager Jen Stokes said.

Designed to provide some entertainment for students graduating from the University of Otago, Ghost Busters: The Capping Show, is the 115th show of the second-longest-running student review in the world, Ms Stokes said.

The Selwyn Ballet, the Sextet and Sexytet and an OUSA executive sketch are part of the line-up.

The show had been dubbed the funniest live act of the year and was one promising to ridicule every sector of society, she said.

"I think it's going to be a really great event."

The show runs from May 13-23, excluding May 17, at the College of Education auditorium.
