Two men have received critical head injuries during a hammer attack at an inner Melbourne home.
One man has been arrested over the serious assault, which occurred at a house in St Kilda East just after 1am (local time) today.
The two injured men, both in their 30s, were taken to the Alfred hospital.
Police arrested a third man at the Alfred, where he was being treated for non life-threatening injuries, about 4.30am (AEST).
He remains under armed guard at the hospital.
