An Arrowtown teenager was allegedly told to "walk" home, from Queenstown, by an Orbus driver because she didn't have her Bee Card, and had no cash to pay for a ride home late at night. Otago Regional Council has apologised, and reminded the contracted transport operator of its obligations.
