What is one strong childhood memory?
Miss Arrow, my first teacher at Linwood Ave School, in Christchurch. She was a smiling angel with a magic learning wand.

What is your message?
Consider the law of cause and effect with all of its dynamic human and environmental layers, so we can live in a sustainable way.

If you were going to an island and could only take three things, what would they be and why?
Dollars or a credit card for meals, a cheap hotel and scooter hire (I'm thinking of my favourite island, Rarotonga); a friend or family member for good company; and a well-chosen new book for spiritual sustenance.

What's something only your family knows about you?
How often principals are late home for dinner.

You are a new addition to the crayon box. What colour are you, and why?
My focus would be a reviewed shade of red-maroon. This is because I have been looking at our school uniform maroon and its tenuous link to our school monogram's red heart pierced by three nails meeting at a point, symbolising passion for education.
